A reading safari

APRIL 2005

A Short History of Nearly Everything This month has allowed me a little time to catch up on a thousand tasks at home. My evenings have been enriched by reading a wonderful paperback by Bill Bryson called ‘A Short History of Nearly Everything”. This incredible little book won the Aventis Prize for Science Books for 2004.

Peter Atkins in the Times newspaper said: “A travelogue of science, with a witty, engaging and well-informed guide who loves his patch and is desperate to share its delights with us”.

I say – Read it and pass it on, and on, and on.
