An elephants and Mara Safari
Marc Baker and I lead a safari organized by Mackey Arnstein of The East Africa Safari Company(external link) of New York.
Staying at Ngare Sero Lodge in Arusha, Oliver’s Camp in Tarangire, Ndutu Lodge in the NCAA and for the very first time at Sayari Camp in the Northern Serengeti- we just couldn’t fail to have a great safari. The Gordon family of Connecticut and California were a guides dream to show around. It is always a pleasure to safari with such wonderful people. The Elephants and Buffalo herds in Tarangire were impressive even by my standards! Tarangire was dry and the wildlife viewing there this dry season will be intense.
Sayari Camp was new and Marc and I set out to explore this exciting part of the Serengeti. Well done Asilia in creating a wonderful camp in a superb location.
Close to Sayari herds of 800 Topi, migrating Zebra and Wildebeest by the tens of thousands and hundreds of noisy Hippos combined with great lion experiences to make the last days truly wonderful. I will be adding new photos to the Mahale section and the Sayari Camp section in my Select Safari Camps this week.
If you plan to visit Northern Serengeti this year – check out Sayari Camp(external link) . It is original and refreshing.
